Further intensive detailed research has resulted in the creation of Fluke-EX®, which is a new generation of treatment which not only treats Skin and Gill Flukes, including resistant Skin Flukes, but also Costia, Trichodina, Roundworms, Tapeworms and even Fish Lice (Argulus).
Fluke-EX ® uses a combination of the well-tried technology of Fluke-Solve®, with a new broad spectrum anti-parasitic ingredient – you can see it dispersing through the water as soon as you add it to your pond.
It can be used in the presence of salt. Fish can be fed normally during treatment. It has been successfully trialled at temperatures as low as 3˚C.
Fluke-EX® is safe with biofilters and plants.

Fluke-EX Dosage & How to Use
Use at a rate of 4g powder per 1000 litres (220 gallons) of pond water. Simply take a clean container of the pond water and add the required dosage of Fluke-EX® to it, then stir. Immediately add this stock solution to the pond, and then rinse out the container with the pond water and add that as well.
There are three convenient sachet sizes –
100grams that treats 25,000 litres, 50 grams that treats 12,500 litres and 10 grams to treat 2,500 litres.
If necessary a separate tank can be used to treat the fish for a treatment period of at least 48 hours.
- Take care to turn off protein skimmers and foam fractionators while it is in use since they will remove the Fluke-EX® active from the water, as will modern filtration systems which use carbon derivatives or other absorbant materials or liquids which are used to detoxify the pond water and some drum filter technologies.
- Turn off UV for at least 48 hours and up to 7 days if possible.
In the case of egg-laying flukes repeat the initial dose after 3 weeks to ensure the active ingredients are in the water long enough to kill any hatching fluke larvae and break the cycle of infection.
