Tamodine
Tamodine is an antiseptic povidine iodine ulcer treatment which can be used to dress the ulcer directly prior to packing it with a suitable cream or paste.
Povidine iodine is used by many veterinary surgeons as a hand disinfectant prior to surgery
It has a wide spectrum of activity against bacteria, protozoa, yeasts, fungi and some viruses. It has all of the activity of free iodine but with much reduced irritant sensitising effects, and it does not stain.
We suggest that you apply some Tamodine-E to wet cotton wool and use this to gently cleanse the surface of ulcers or wounds. Then pack the ulcer with Orabase which can be obtained from a pharmacist.
Do not add Tamodine-E directly to water containing fish.
Tamodine is available in a 50ml packContact Us
